Mobility & Assistive Technology Business Development Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Mobility & Assistive Technology Business Development Coordinator to help develop and grow our mobility, aged care and assistive technology services in Footscray and Melbourne’s western suburbs.
This is a varied role combining business development, relationship management, customer service and mobility equipment sales.
You will work with customers, families, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Support Coordinators, aged care providers and other healthcare professionals to help clients access suitable mobility and home-care equipment.
The successful candidate will be proactive, confident in developing new relationships and comfortable spending time both in the showroom and visiting healthcare and community organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Support Coordinators, aged care providers, home-care organisations, hospitals, rehabilitation services and community organisations
- Identify and develop new referral opportunities across Melbourne
- Respond to customer enquiries regarding mobility and assistive technology products
- Coordinate product demonstrations, equipment trials and showroom appointments
- Prepare quotations and follow up customers and healthcare professionals
- Assist customers with products including:
- Mobility scooters
- Manual and powered wheelchairs
- Walkers and mobility aids
- Adjustable and home-care beds
- Lift and recliner chairs
- Bathroom and toileting equipment
- Pressure-care products
- Daily living aids
- Liaise with suppliers regarding product availability, demonstrations, training and orders
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, referrals, quotations and follow-ups
- Assist with product displays and development of the mobility showroom
- Attend community, healthcare and industry events where appropriate
- Provide professional and responsive after-sales customer service
- Work towards agreed business-development and sales targets
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Is confident communicating with healthcare professionals, clients and families
- Is proactive and enjoys developing new business opportunities
- Has strong customer-service and sales skills
- Is organised and able to manage multiple enquiries and follow-ups
- Can work independently and take ownership of developing a growing division
- Is comfortable visiting healthcare providers and community organisations
- Has good computer and administrative skills
- Holds a current Australian driver’s licence
Previous experience in any of the following areas would be highly regarded:
- Mobility equipment or assistive technology
- NDIS
- Aged care or Support at Home
- Rehabilitation equipment
- Medical or healthcare sales
- Occupational therapy or allied health
- Pharmacy or community healthcare
- Disability services
- Business development or account management
Product training can be provided to the right candidate.

Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour
