About the Role
As our Gifts in Wills Relationship Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the development, promotion, and growth of RSPCA Victoria’s Gifts in Wills program.
Through authentic relationship-building and strategic program support, you will ensure our life-saving work continues for generations to come, creating a lasting legacy of dignity and respect for animals and people alike.
Key Responsibilities

Supporter Journey & Stewardship: Support the GiW Manager and Senior Coordinator, to drive the full donor journey! In this role, you will assess, qualify, and nurture prospective supporters - building inspiring experiences that secure long-term legacy commitment.

Relationship Management: Manage and nurture a portfolio of high-value supporters through warm, regular contact via phone, mail, and occasional face-to-face meetings.

Campaign & Event Support: Help coordinate, monitor, and follow up on GiW acquisition campaigns (telemarketing, direct mail, digital). You will also represent RSPCA Victoria at GiW and community events, celebrating the incredible impact of our legacy donors.

Program Administration: Ensure accurate record-keeping within our database to contribute to regular program reporting. You'll also provide compassionate, high-quality customer service to solicitors and executors as needed.

Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute ideas to improve donor journeys, internal processes, and promotional techniques to inspire increased legacy support.

Team Collaboration: Offer cross-functional support to the broader fundraising team as required.
What you will bring to this role

Fundraising or Customer Service Expertise: Experience in Gifts in Wills fundraising or a similar high-touch customer service role, with proven success in solicitation, relationship development, and stewardship.

Relationship & Results Orientation: A track record of delivering exceptional donor/client relationship outcomes. You balance heart-led relationship building, with a drive for real impact.

Outstanding Interpersonal Skills: The ability to listen deeply, negotiate effectively, and communicate with high levels of diplomacy, empathy, and emotional intelligence.

Captivating Communication: Ability to deliver warm, engaging and informative communications, that truly resonate with supporters.

Data Literacy: A thorough understanding of CRM databases and data-driven marketing best practices.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and organisational skills, with a genuine appreciation for program processes, workflows, and business rules.
Highly regarded

Industry-recognised certifications in Fundraising, Gifts in Wills, or Marketing—such as those from the Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA), Include a Charity, or ADMA.
