Most receptionist ads ask for someone to answer phones and check people in. That’s not this role.
Vic Park has everything it needs to be one of our best-performing practices — three chairs, a genuinely modern digital workflow, and a location that puts us near the busy Albany Highway and shopping centre foot traffic every single day. What it’s missing is someone super strong on the front desk who can turn that traffic into loyal patients. Lilly holds the practice together on training and admin, but she can’t be the face of the practice and run everything behind it at the same time. We’re looking for the person who can be that face.
- Be the reason patients feel instantly welcome, not just checked in
- $35–$40/hr, with real training toward a career in dental
- Full-time role in a growing, modern Vic Park practice
This role exists because Vic Park isn’t yet living up to its potential — and we think the missing piece is front-of-house, not clinical. Lilly is a fantastic asset to the practice, but between training the team and keeping admin on track, she doesn’t have the bandwidth to also be the person building relationships with every patient who walks through the door. We want to bring in someone who can own that from day one, so Lilly can focus on what she does best and the practice can start performing the way it should.
You don’t need a dental background to apply. What you do need is a genuine ability to connect with people quickly, a real interest in helping patients look after their health, and the organisational instinct to keep a busy front desk running smoothly while you’re doing it.
Allied Dental Victoria Park is one of our newer practices — established around two years ago, with three chairs and a fully digital workflow including intraoral scanning and AI-assisted digital tools. We’re HBF preferred provider, located inside the Vic Park shopping centre with parking on site, right next to the busy Albany Highway strip — meaning a steady flow of local foot traffic and genuine potential to grow the patient base. As with all Allied Dental practices, we’re backed by a dedicated head office covering HR, marketing, finance and operations, so the practice team can focus on patients rather than admin.
- Be the first point of contact for every patient — in person and on the phone — and make sure that first impression is a great one
- Build real relationships with patients over time, not just transactional check-ins
- Manage bookings, recalls and the day-to-day front desk workload, juggling multiple things at once without losing your composure
- Learn to explain treatments and dental terminology to patients in a way they actually understand and feel comfortable with
- Support Lilly and the clinical team by owning front-of-house so they can focus on training and delivering care
- Help patients feel genuinely valued — not just processed — at every visit
- Get involved in the practice’s social media presence — think patient-consented content, behind-the-scenes moments, and helping bring Vic Park’s personality online
- A natural relationship-builder who can engage someone warmly from the very first hello
- Passionate about people’s health and genuinely interested in helping patients understand and act on it
- Organised, with the multitasking instincts a busy front desk demands
- Loves conversation — you’d rather be talking with patients than avoiding it
- Makes people feel welcome and valued as a matter of habit, not effort
- No dental background required — we’ll train you in the “dental speak” and systems. If you do have dental experience and want to grow further in the industry, that’s equally welcome
- Comfortable being on camera and part of our social media — happy to jump in front of the phone for a quick video or photo when the moment calls for it
- Available full-time, 4–5 days per week
- $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience — starting rate reflects dental experience, with room to grow as you build your dental knowledge and take on more
- Full training in dental terminology, systems (Praktika) and patient processes — no prior dental experience needed
- A genuine growth pathway for someone who wants to build a long-term career in dental
- Head office support (HR, marketing, finance, operations) so you can focus on patients, not paperwork
- A modern, well-equipped practice with digital scanning and AI-assisted workflows
- On-site parking and a high-traffic shopping centre location
