About the role and where you will be working:
We are currently looking for Hospitality Staff members to join our team at our Frank Prendergast House in Success, WA. Catering for up to 73 residents, Frank Prendergast House features wide corridors, multiple lounge areas for residents and visitors to enjoy and enclosed walkways between houses.
You'll be part of a team that plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our facility by helping deliver nutritious meals and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment for our residents.
This position is a casual role working across mornings, afternoons, and evening shifts.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assisting with meal preparation and basic food preparation tasks as directed by the Chef or Cook.

Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with food safety and infection control standards.

Washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.

Cleaning kitchen surfaces, benches, floors, and food preparation areas.

Receiving, storing, and rotating stock in line with food safety requirements.

Assisting with meal service, including plating meals and distributing food items as required.

Monitoring kitchen supplies and reporting stock shortages.

Managing waste disposal and ensuring rubbish and recycling areas are maintained safely and hygienically.

Supporting the catering team to ensure meals are prepared and delivered efficiently and on time.

To be considered for this role, you'll need:-
Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand, in hospitality, catering, or food services (aged care experience highly regarded).

Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and infection control practices.

The ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

Reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail.
