Duty Description:
- Determine and implement purchasing, inventory, storage and distribution strategies to support business and production requirements.
- Oversee supply chain, warehouse, inventory and logistics operations, ensuring the efficient procurement, receipt, storage and distribution of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.
- Develop and maintain inventory control systems to ensure optimal stock levels, accurate record-keeping and timely replenishment.
- Manage supplier and logistics provider relationships, including contract negotiations, procurement activities and transportation arrangements to achieve quality, cost and delivery objectives.
- Monitor supply chain and inventory performance through ERP systems and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost control.
- Coordinate supply and distribution activities with production and other business departments to ensure continuity of operations and customer fulfilment.
- Establish and maintain warehouse and distribution procedures in compliance with GMP, workplace health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, train and supervise warehouse and logistics personnel, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum five (3) years' experience in warehouse management within the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, or related industries.
- Experience working in a TGA-licensed GMP warehouse and with dangerous goods storage is highly regarded.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage personnel at all levels.
- Experience in supplier management, contract negotiations and logistics coordination.
- Minimum professional qualification in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Diploma level or equivalent.
