Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.

Join the Powerhouse and lead the development and delivery of inspiring First Nations public programs across Powerhouse Parramatta, Ultimo, Castle Hill and the Sydney Observatory.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape innovative, culturally informed programs that engage diverse communities, creative industries and audiences while working collaboratively across the museum to deliver exceptional visitor experiences.
As the Programs Manager – First Nations, you will lead the planning and delivery of dynamic public programs, manage operational and project outcomes across multiple sites, build strong partnerships, and support a high-performing team. You will bring strong program management experience, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to embedding cultural knowledge and curatorial care throughout program delivery.
