About the role
The Store person Advanced reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and secondarily the Supply Manager and the primary objectives of this role are to ensure accurate, timely receipt of stocked and non-stocked lines on the Barwon Health supply dock, put away of stocked items away in the appropriate location within the warehouse or distribution of non stocked items to their required deliver to location and picking and delivery of internally requisitioned orders and Imprest process generated stock movements efficiently, providing solid customer service to the organisation. They will liaise with the ward clerks, ANUM’s/ NUM’s and other Barwon health staff to determine appropriate Imprest items and PAR levels by area, and be responsible for checking and restocking these areas including non-clinical clinical and sterile stock areas
- Manage inventory operations by receiving, verifying and receipting deliveries, accurately picking and distributing stock, and maintaining appropriate imprest PAR levels to support clinical services
- Maintain inventory integrity by monitoring stock levels, assisting with stocktakes, and regularly reviewing shelved stock to minimise obsolete and expired items in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Provide reliable logistics support through the safe and timely delivery of stock and courier services across Barwon Health sites, while operating equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Contribute to a safe and collaborative workplace by actively participating in team meetings and demonstrating a strong commitment to occupational health and safety, complying with Barwon Health policies, procedures and legislative requirements
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to build positive working relationships and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn and use inventory and logistics management systems
- Experience in warehousing, stores or logistics operations is essential. A Certificate or Diploma in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage), or experience in a healthcare environment, will be highly regarded
