About the Role:
Casual Spiritual Care Services Practitioner for After hours on call shifts
We are seeking a Casual Spiritual Care Practitioner to support our on-site team through contribution to the After Hours On-Call Roster. This role provides direct spiritual and emotional support to patients and families in an acute healthcare setting, responding to urgent requests for Spiritual Care outside standard working hours. After-hours coverage includes Monday to Friday from 4:30pm to 8:00am, and weekends delivered as 24-hour on-call shifts from 8:00am to 8:00am (Saturday and Sunday)
What you'll achieve:
Facilitate the provision of high quality spiritual care services (which may include religious and or sacramental care, spiritual care practice for individuals' spirituality) to meet the needs of patients, their families and staff
Participation in ongoing excellence in service delivery and teamwork
Classification for this position will be AO41-AO45 ($87,003.8 - $96,181.28 Per Hour plus superannuation).
Your skills and experience:
Qualifications that meet the Spiritual Health Association Capabilities framework to Level 2 or above
Studies in theology/spiritual care or other relevant program
Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, responsive Spiritual Care to people of all faith traditions and cultural backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary acute healthcare settings
About the Department:
Spiritual Care Services is an Allied Health discipline that sits under the Allied and Digital Health Directorate. The Spiritual Care Practitioner reports to the Coordinator of Spiritual Care Services and is a member of the Spiritual Care Services team. The Spiritual Care Program aims to enable individuals and groups to respond to spiritual and emotional needs and the experience of life and death, illness and injury, in the context of a faith or spiritual belief system and/or a unique spirituality in the Acute Care Paediatric Healthcare setting.
