About the Role
Comfort Home Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional Female Arabic Speaking Support Worker/Cleaner to join our growing team.
This role involves providing domestic assistance, companionship, and in-home support to elderly Arabic-speaking female clients. Due to the personal nature of the services and our clients' cultural preferences, applicants must be female and fluent in Arabic and English.
You will play an important role in improving the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of our clients while providing culturally appropriate care in a respectful and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- General household cleaning, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and bathroom cleaning
- Laundry, ironing, and changing bed linen
- Meal preparation and light kitchen duties
- Grocery shopping and running errands
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting clients with everyday household tasks
- Supporting clients to remain independent in their own homes
- Maintaining accurate service records
- Reporting any concerns regarding client wellbeing to management
About You
You are:
- Fluent in both Arabic and English
- Caring, patient, and compassionate
- Respectful of different cultures and traditions
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Able to work independently
- Professional with excellent communication skills
- Passionate about supporting older members of the community
Essential Requirements
- Female applicant (genuine occupational requirement)
- Fluent in spoken Arabic and English
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable, insured vehicle
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Australian working rights
- Smartphone for accessing rosters and communication
Desirable
- Previous experience in aged care, disability support, home care, or domestic assistance
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or Community) or equivalent
- Experience supporting elderly clients from Arabic-speaking backgrounds
