PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Provide specialist technical advice and direction that supports the sustainable and efficient operation of drinking water source systems across the
Northern Territory. Support service delivery staff, develop and contribute to operational plans/manuals and implement related programs that
monitor and optimise water security.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The “WHAT” to be delivered
Functional
Provide technical support and guidance to service delivery on operation of groundwater systems, maintenance planning, efficiency
improvements and risk management.
Management of groundwater (water level) monitoring program implementation, database management, data analysis and reporting, including
procurement, management and coordination of Contractors.
Coordinate operational water asset (e.g. borefield infrastructure) assessment/investigations in response to operational issues and advise on
optimal strategies to address.
Contribute to the preparation of operational plans/manuals and procedures and support emergency planning activities.
Carry out duties in accordance with Power and Water's safety, environmental and quality policy, safety principles, corporate values and
strategies.
Participate in the on-call roster by manning the afterhours mobile phone to provide assistance to the business as required.
