About the Role
Take the lead in managing a diverse portfolio of Council buildings and facilities, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and performing at their best. You'll lead a skilled team, drive maintenance excellence and deliver real outcomes for the community
From strategic planning to operational delivery, you'll play a key role in ensuring Council's buildings and facilities remain safe, compliant and ready to meet community needs now and into the future.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Maintenance & Operations team.
- Oversee maintenance across a diverse portfolio of Council facilities.
- Drive safe, compliant and customer-focused service delivery.
- Deliver proactive maintenance programs that maximise asset performance.
- Manage contracts, budgets and contractor performance.
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and service providers.
- Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Contribute to the future management of Council's facilities and assets
About you
You're a confident and capable leader who knows how to get the best from people, build strong relationships and deliver exceptional maintenance outcomes. With a proactive, solutions-focused mindset, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in keeping facilities safe, compliant and performing at their best.
- Qualifications in Facilities, Asset, Project or Contract Management (or equivalent experience).
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop teams.
- Strong facilities maintenance, operational and financial management expertise.
- Experience managing maintenance programs across diverse asset portfolios.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and relevant legislation.
- Experience using asset management and business systems.
- A current C Class Driver Licence
