About us
Baby J’s Dessert Deli is Australia’s first dessert deli — whole cakes displayed like a traditional deli, sliced to order, weighed on a deli scale and wrapped in butcher paper. We’re a family-run business in the heart of Werribee, building something a little different, and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of it.
The role
We’re looking for a Barista / All-Rounder to join our close-knit team. This is a fast-paced evening role where everyone pitches in, takes pride in what they do, and genuinely enjoys working together. If you’re reliable, hardworking and love creating great customer experiences, we’d love to meet you.
Availability
This role is based around our trading hours, so you must be available:
- Wednesday–Friday: 5:00pm–11:30pm
- Saturday–Sunday: 2:00pm–11:30pm

What you’ll be doing
- Making consistently great coffee
- Providing warm, friendly customer service
- Slicing, weighing and wrapping cakes at our deli counter
- Keeping the shop clean, stocked and looking its best
- Processing orders through Square POS
- Closing the store each night
- Helping wherever needed—we’re a small team and everyone gets involved
What we’re looking for
- Previous barista experience
- A positive, team-first attitude
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Someone dependable who shows up and takes pride in their work
- Experience in a busy café or hospitality environment
- A good sense of humour—we work hard, but we have fun doing it
