The Opportunity
Lit Consulting have an opportunity for a permanent full-time position (37.5 hours per week) as a fire safety engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience to join our growing team in Sydney.
We are a specialist consultancy, offering fire safety engineering services to the ACT and NSW. Our expertise extends across both public and private sectors within the built environment.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning, wants to expand their experience and grow their career.
You will be involved in:
- Fee and tender submissions
- Project planning and administration
- Reviewing architectural documentation, undertaking engineering analysis and report writing
- Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) fire modelling and human evacuation modelling using spreadsheets and Pathfinder
- On-site inspections
- Development of in-house tools and software
We are offering a salary in the range of $80,000–$90,000 + superannuation, depending on experience. If you're a great fit and bring additional expertise, we're happy to discuss it.
Who we are looking for
Someone who has:
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Specialisation in fire, mechanical, chemical or structural will be looked upon favourably.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a fire safety engineer in NSW.
- A valid NSW driver’s licence.
- Visa with full work rights.
- The ability to think critically, analyse problems, identify risks and constraints and develop solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills – on the phone, in emails and reports, and in person.
- Pride in their work and is responsible and ethical.
