We are currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of a Full Time Chef at Pinnacle's Restaurant & Bar at the International Hotel Wagga Wagga. Our restaurant operates 6 days a week for both breakfast and dinner. This position requires the suitable applicant to work a few split shifts a week. Position to commence as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen;
- Preparing and cooking food using correct techniques as per the requirements of the menus;
- Ability to prepare food and accommodate dietary requirements;
- Monitoring quality of menu items throughout the preparation to the presentation stage;
- Following WH&S policies and procedures;
- Ensuring strict hygiene practices are maintained at all times;
- Excellent communication skills are essential;
- Assisting in training staff;
- You will be expected to show leadership, attention to detail, strong customer service and a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cooking or similar;
- At least one years’ experience working in a high volume al a carte kitchen;
- Applicants must be professional and reliable with a passion for food and a positive team attitude;
- You must be able to work efficiently and operate well under pressure;
- Must be available on weekends;
- Must be in Australia, preferably already in the Wagga Wagga area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
