Who You Are
You are a legally qualified academic or practitioner with a strong passion for legal education and scholarship. You possess demonstrated ability or strong potential to teach effectively in both face-to-face and online environments at a tertiary level and are willing to teach across the Toowoomba and Ipswich campuses.
With a genuine enthusiasm for the development of high-quality learning materials, you display a collaborative and energetic approach to building strong student relationships while contributing positively to a collegial academic environment.

What You’ll Do
You will contribute meaningfully to the University’s teaching, research, and service activities, teaching property law and one of the following subject areas: property conveyancing, construction law, competition and consumer law, or another Priestley 11 course.
In this role, you will prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars, and other learning activities across both on-campus and online modes. You will also develop and coordinate high-quality course materials suitable for multiple delivery formats, supervise honours and postgraduate students where required, and undertake a range of administrative responsibilities, including potential course coordination and participation in School and University committees.
In addition, you will conduct research and produce scholarly publications in a relevant field of law, while fostering positive student engagement and supporting their academic and professional development.
What will help you succeed
Success in this role will be supported by a strong track record or clear potential in legal teaching and curriculum development, together with demonstrated or emerging research capability, including the ability to build a publication profile. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to work effectively in a team, establish strong student rapport, and communicate clearly in both written and oral forms.
It is essential you hold a doctoral or master’s qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing in the relevant discipline.
