About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Formwork Carpenter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be well-rounded, reliable, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team on a variety of commercial and civil construction projects.
This position is ideal for a tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship, has a strong understanding of formwork systems, and can consistently deliver work to a high standard while maintaining safety and productivity on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Set out, construct, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete structures.
- Assemble and erect conventional and proprietary formwork systems.
- Measure, cut, and shape timber and other materials to project requirements.
- Install reinforcement supports and assist with concrete pours as required.
- Ensure formwork is constructed accurately and safely.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter in commercial, civil, or residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of formwork systems, concrete structures, and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding site work.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Essential Requirements
- Trade qualification in Carpentry (preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates).
- White Card.
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
- Own tools.
- Full working rights in Australia.
