Our focus on quality and exceeding our customers' needs means that as a business we are continuously growing and as a result we are looking for a Line Leader to join the Esky Assembly team at our Canning Vale site!
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this position is a hands-on role in daily operations of our fast paced production processes with accountability for output, quality of finished product and the continued efficiency of production staff. Through clear direction and support you will create a team environment for the efficient day to day running of the Esky Assembly area that delivers production excellence.
This role is permanent part time, Monday to Friday 3am starts - approx 30+ hours per week.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead and coordinate a team on the esky assembly line
- Ensure accurate packing of customer orders into eskies
- Monitor workflow to meet daily production targets and deadlines
- Supervise the team to ensure the highest standards of food handling including hygiene, safety and quality
- Identify and resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime
- Maintain high standards of food safety, quality and hygeine
- Ensure work area is clean and clear at all time
- Ongoing coaching of all employees on the correct processes and procedures
- Ensure that all required operational and technical paperwork is completed on time in full
- Ensure the rotation of team members through tasks and breaks within set guidelines
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other teams
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following experience/skills:
- Experience in a fast paced production environment ideally with exposure to fast paced conveyor work
- Experience as a line leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to problem solve and make decisions independently,
- Ability and willingness to liaise and work with supervisors and managers across the factory and other shifts
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines,
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Understanding of GMP and food safety
- Sound understanding of Health and Safety
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment would be highly regarded
