About your new role:
General Accounting & Reporting
- Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of general ledger and compliance with accounting standards
- Maintain unearned income reconciliations in line with revenue recognition principles
- Maintain fixed asset registers and related schedules
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Preparation and lodgement of monthly corporate taxes including quarterly business activity statements (BAS), Income tax, corporate taxes
- Prepare FBT calculations for external review
- Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and support external audits
- Maintain appropriate documentation for tax, audit, and statutory purposes
Operational Finance
- Oversee AP processes and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely payments
- Manage employee reimbursements
- Liaising with external Auditors
- Partnering with the business internal stakeholders to support other financial related processes or initiatives
- Provide guidance to junior staff members

About You
- Tertiary qualifications
- 1+ years’ experience in a full-function accounting role in Australia
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (Microsoft Business Central preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Strong excel and data analysis skills
- High attention to detail to maintain high standard of accuracy and integrity in all reports
- The ability to form strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
