The Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Finance Business Partner – Operations to join our team based at our Pakenham manufacturing site.
Reporting to the Finance Manager – Operations, this is a key business partnering role that provides financial leadership and strategic support to site operations and the broader management team. You will act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, helping drive business performance through insightful analysis, financial governance, cost optimisation and strategic decision-making.
This is a highly visible site-based role requiring strong collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Site Leadership teams. As such, this position is based onsite at our Pakenham facility, five days per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with Site Leadership and Operations teams to drive financial performance and support key business decisions.
- Leading budgeting and forecasting processes for the site
- Managing month-end reporting, variance analysis and performance commentary
- Providing commercial insights, cost analysis and product costing recommendations to improve profitability and operational performance.
- Providing financial management of capital investments and strategic initiatives, ensuring robust business cases, effective governance and delivery of targeted returns and business outcomes.
- Driving a culture of financial accountability and commercial awareness across the site
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a commercially astute finance professional with proven experience partnering with operational stakeholders in a manufacturing environment.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, CA or CPA qualification (essential)
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance, Site Finance or Operational Finance role
- Strong experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, food manufacturing environment focusing on operations, product costing and operational performance drivers
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and month-end reporting processes
- Advanced Excel and financial systems capability
- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills
- The ability to influence, challenge and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy partnering closely with operational leaders to influence decision-making and drive business performance.
