What you'll be doing
As a Paediatrics Pharmacist, you will provide structured clinical pharmacy services focused on Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine, ensuring the safe, effective and evidence-based use of medicines. You will play an integral role in patient care, medication management and clinical decision making while supporting the development of pharmacy staff and advancing pharmacy practice.
- Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services across designated specialty areas
- Review, validate, dispense, compound and check medications to support safe patient care and patient flow
- Optimise medication therapy through clinical interventions, medication reviews and evidence-based recommendations
- Supervise, support and mentor pharmacists, technicians and pharmacy support staff
- Participate in quality improvement, education, research and medication safety programs

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by tertiary education institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy (Pharmacist Grade 2 must meet competency criteria set out in the award)
Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated effective clinical drug knowledge and competence in its application to achieve safe and efficient quality of care particularly in the practice areas of Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine OR have transferable skills, interest and commitment towards pursuing a clinical specialty in these areas.
Proven commitment to professional development, continuing education and pharmacy research, including membership of a professional pharmacy association, preferably the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA).
Maintained ability to rotate across WSLHD sites, participate in flexible working hours, on-call, afterhours, weekend and public holiday work as required.
