The opportunities
NEPEAN Belting is looking for an experienced Belt Splicers to join our growing Mackay team. Based at Slade Point, these roles involve working both in our branch and across mine sites delivering high-quality conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance
-
Working across workshop and mine site environments
-
Conducting belt and conveyor system inspections
-
Supporting breakdown and scheduled maintenance work
-
Ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to high-quality standards

Completing job documentation and site paperwork
-
Assisting in mentoring apprentices and junior splicers
What We’re Looking For
-
Recent experience with conveyor systems and belt maintenance
-
Underground coal mine experience (Preferred)
- Cert II in Polymer Processing (Belt Splicing) (Essential)
-
Level 3 Belt Splicer (Highly regarded)
-
Supervisory experience (Advantageous but not essential)

Current Driver’s Licence (MR preferred)
-
Working at Heights ticket (Desirable)

Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Ability to work independently and within a team environment
