Senior Manager – Clinical Documentation Services

Lead the future of digital healthcare documentation at one of Australia's largest and most innovative health services.
About The Role
As the Senior Manager – Clinical Documentation Services, you will be responsible for the operational, technical and people leadership of Monash Health's clinical documentation function within the EMR. You will oversee the delivery, optimisation and lifecycle management of documentation solutions that support clinicians across the organisation while ensuring alignment with contemporary clinical practice, governance requirements and strategic EMR priorities.
You will:
Lead the day-to-day operation of EMR Documentation Services.
Drive service excellence, optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee the design, build, testing and deployment of clinical documentation workflows within Oracle EMR.
Lead and develop a team of approximately 11 Application Specialists.
Support major EMR upgrades and digital transformation programs.
Partner with clinicians, operational leaders and executive stakeholders to ensure documentation solutions meet real-world clinical needs.
Ensure compliance with governance, cybersecurity, quality and safety requirements
What We're Looking For
You are a proven digital health leader with a passion for improving clinical workflows through technology.
You will bring:
Significant experience within hospital and EMR environments.
Demonstrated experience delivering and supporting EMR workflows.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing, mentoring and developing large teams.
The ability to influence and engage stakeholders across clinical, operational and executive levels.
Strong strategic thinking, communication and relationship management capabilities.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Computer Science or a related discipline.
Experience in healthcare or digital health is highly regarded.
Desirable qualifications include postgraduate studies and industry certifications such as ITIL, Prince2, PMP, CHIA, TOGAF or SAFe.
