The Facilities Project Manager is responsible for planning and delivering facility projects that support Lockheed Martin capability programs. This includes managing refurbishments, upgrades, secure facility fitouts and new facility projects, ensuring delivery aligns with business requirements, security standards, project objectives, budget and schedule expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the planning and delivery of minor to medium facilities projects, including refurbishments, security upgrades, fitouts, building services upgrades and new facilities.

Support the delivery of major capital works projects under the guidance of a senior Project Manager/Engineer.

Manage project activities from concept and design development through to construction and completion.

Gather business requirements, engage design consultants and oversee design development to ensure facility solutions meet operational needs.

Coordinate physical security accreditation and certification activities with internal and external security stakeholders.

Support project planning activities including business cases, facility options assessments, scope definition, requirements gathering and budget planning.

Work closely with Project Engineers to support design reviews, project documentation, cost estimates and technical deliverables.

Manage construction activities, including contractor coordination, site engagement and monitoring project progress.

Support procurement activities, including development of tender documentation, Statements of Work/Requirements and tender evaluations.

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants and project teams.

Contribute to the improvement of Facilities Project Management processes, quality practices, bids and proposal activities.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience delivering building and facilities projects from planning and design through to construction and completion.

Experience managing Defence or secure facilities and infrastructure projects, including projects involving physical security requirements and secure environments.

Strong understanding of facility upgrades, fitouts, building services and construction delivery processes.

Experience managing consultants, contractors and multiple stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.

Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing project documentation, reports and business cases.

Ability to lead stakeholder discussions, workshops and requirements-gathering activities.

Qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Project Management.
As well as the above any skills and experience in any of the following is highly desirable:

Working in a construction environment, including contractor management, site-based activities or trade coordination.

Experience with facilities procurement processes and development of Statements of Work/Requirements

Professional membership or chartered status with Engineers Australia or the Australian Institute of Project Management.

Construction White Card, asbestos awareness and silica awareness certifications.
Special Requirements:

This role can be located in Canberra, Adelaide or Newcastle.
