PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Undertake tasks associated with the installation, repair, maintenance and operation of Power Networks systems and assets, the Lineworker /
Electrical Fitter Mechanic (EFM) will be required to work overtime and attend after hour’s calls on a roster, with some possible travel to perform
work in other centres within Southern Region as reasonably required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Install, maintain and operate power network electrical infrastructure including LV/HV switchgear, transformers, cables, street lighting, control
and protection, metering, light and power cabling and connection of mobile generators.
2. Inspect equipment and work sites as necessary, mark-up records and drawings and submit records and reports.
3. Carry out duties in a multi-skilled team environment including assisting other staff, carrying out manually intensive works, training and
developing apprentices, maintaining a safe and tidy work environment and ensure the Field Supervisor is fully informed of work progress.
4. Participate in training activities to meet organisational requirements.
5. Participate in a Callout Roster and work outside of normal business hours, with some possible travel to perform work in other centres within
Southern Region as reasonably required.
