As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our automotive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair a range of motor vehicles
- Inspect engines, brakes, suspension, steering, transmissions, and other mechanical systems for faults
- Use diagnostic equipment and specialised tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and general mechanical repairs
- Repair and replace worn or defective vehicle components as required
- Conduct road tests and final checks to ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate service and repair records and report any additional maintenance requirements
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and keep tools, equipment, and workshop areas clean and organised
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent automotive qualification
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, mechanical diagnostics, fault finding, repairs, and maintenance procedures
- Good understanding of engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, and other automotive components
- Experience working with a range of petrol and diesel vehicles
- Ability to confidently use modern diagnostic equipment, specialised tools, and workshop technology
- Strong problem-solving skills with good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a workshop team
- Good organisational and time-management skills with a commitment to completing work efficiently and to a high standard
