The Role
The PLC Joan Montgomery Centre is committed to providing educational programs which aim to develop competency in the lifelong skills of swimming, water safety and survival, health and physical activity in aquatic environments whilst focusing on participation and having fun.
We are currently inviting applications from candidates with demonstrated experience coaching diving athletes or evidence of a diving background, to join PLC as a Casual Diving Coach.
This opportunity will see you planning and delivering structured diving training sessions appropriate to athletes' ages and abilities, according to the PLC Diving Skills criteria developed by the Head Diving Coach.
About You
You are passionate about teaching young people diving, building their technical skills, and supporting their progression into competitive diving. You are able to confidently monitor student progress and adapt teaching to support progression, understanding their needs at each age and stage.
Your exceptional customer service skills make it easy for you to liaise with a wide range of people from various backgrounds.
You are a strong team player and mentor with demonstrated professionalism, reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude to your work.
Essential to this role are current ACC Level 1 Diving Coaching qualification (or working towards completion), as well as First Aid / Perform CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certificates.
