About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Quality Assurance Officer to join our Quality team at our Wetherill Park site.
Reporting to the QA Supervisor, you'll provide additional support to the Quality team during peak production periods, helping to ensure we consistently deliver safe, high-quality food products to our customers. Working closely with both Quality and Production teams, you'll assist with quality checks, compliance activities and the ongoing maintenance of our food safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate must be flexible to work across both day and afternoon shifts depending on operational requirements.
Typical shift start times are 5:00am for AM shift and 2:00pm for PM shift, however flexibility across both shifts is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing

Completing QA checks, documentation, and records accurately and on time

Working predominantly on the production floor to ensure compliance and product quality

Inspecting products against specifications and food safety standards

Partnering with operations teams to verify hygiene and product integrity

Identifying, escalating, and documenting food safety hazards or quality issues

Supporting a strong quality culture through visible QA presence and coaching

About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about quality, eager to learn and enjoys working in a fast-moving environment.
Ideally, you will bring:

Tertiary qualifications in food science and/or 1–2 years’ practical experience

Experience in the meat industry (advantageous but not essential)

Knowledge of HACCP, State Food, AQIS, DAFF and Australian Standards

High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
-
Good communication and interpersonal skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
-
Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑moving environment
