School Cleaner (Casual) – June & July and August Contract

Pay: $32.31 – $33.38 per hour (Casual rate)
Hours: 10–12 hours per week
Duration: 8-week fixed-term (June 21st – August 30th, 2026)
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Casual School Cleaner for a short-term contract in Waroona. This position is ideal for someone looking to pick up steady part-time work during the winter months (June and July).
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high hygiene standards within a local school environment, ensuring classrooms and facilities are clean and safe for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning of classrooms, corridors, and staff areas (vacuuming, mopping, dusting).
- Thorough sanitization of high-touch surfaces and amenities.
- Waste management and restocking of essential supplies.
- Adhering to safety protocols and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Using eco-friendly, plant-based cleaning products (training provided).
Requirements
- Essential: Current WA Working with Children Check (WWC).
- Essential: Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (Education Department cleared).
- Strong reliability and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
- Previous commercial or school cleaning experience (highly regarded).
- Local resident of Waroona or surrounding areas (e.g., Hamel, Coolup).
Shift Details
- Total Hours: 10–15 hours per week.
- Times: Typically late afternoon/evening shifts (e.g., 3:00 PM onwards, Monday to Friday).
- Contract: Temporary casual for the months of June and July.
