About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our
busy cafe. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the business including staff, sales
performance, customer service, stock control, and financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the cafe to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Determine and manage product mix, pricing, and service standards
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, ordering supplies and liaising with suppliers
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive sales
- Ensure high levels of customer service, including handling customer enquiries and complaints
- Maintain accurate financial records, including sales, expenses, and stock control
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial performance monitoring
- Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff to ensure optimal performance
- Ensure compliance with health & safety (OH&S) and food safety regulations
- Drive sales growth and meet business targets
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in a retail, cafe, or hospitality management role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience in inventory management and budgeting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage operations in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and workplace health & safety standards
