About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Barista & Café All-Rounder to join our café team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing quality coffee and beverages, assisting with food service, and maintaining a clean and organised café environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality coffee, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white and other beverages.
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments through the POS system.
- Provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
- Prepare and serve food, including breakfast, sandwiches, cakes and cabinet items.
- Assist with basic food preparation when required.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised front-of-house and café area.
- Clear and clean tables, counters and service areas.
- Wash dishes and assist with kitchen cleaning when required.
- Restock coffee, milk, takeaway packaging, beverages and other supplies.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Work effectively as part of a team during busy periods.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation and customer service at all times.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous café or hospitality experience preferred.
- Barista experience and good coffee-making skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and well-presented.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
Desirable
- Experience with POS systems.
- Experience in food preparation and café service.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays.
- Relevant hospitality or barista qualifications.
