About the Role
We are delighted to announce that we are looking for a Workplace Relations Process Advisor to coordinate compliant and consistent workplace practices through the development, maintenance and governance of people documentation, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory obligations, including recent case law.
This is a new role that also supports the workplace relations team in the delivery of high-quality service across the organisation by supporting effective employee complaint resolution processes and the provision of administrative support for workplace relations activities and programs of work.
The focus of this role is to ensure Metro Trains achieves set milestones and work with key stakeholders to ensure the development and timely revision of controlled documents in line with the PIMS Program and broader Workplace Relations activities and programs of work.
This is a full time, permanent role based at 700 Collins Street, Docklands, with hybrid working arrangements available.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will report to Senior Workplace Relations Manager (Process and Planning) and will coordinate the ongoing delivery and implementation of compliant, fit for purpose people policies, standards procedures and formsby:
Identifying policy and procedures gaps and engaging stakeholders to devise an appropriate response.
Coordinate the drafting of new and revised policies and standards in line with the PIMS Framework.
Ensuring ongoing document control
Coordinate the approval process for all new and revised documents.
Coordinate the drafting of new and revised templates in the Employee Management Framework
You will support the change, communication and implementation of new and revised people policies and processes to improve existing people processes through effective analysis, stakeholder engagement and codesign and provide workplace relations subject matter expertise during documentation development and review to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory obligations, including recent case law.
In addition, you will;
Support the Senior Workplace Relations Manager (Process and Planning) to engage with business leaders to identify areas of opportunity and alignment
Monitor and update internal trackers and shared inbox as required, ensuring data accuracy and timely response
Contribute to the effective management of the Internal Complaints Handling Process by assisting in the triage of complaints received and providing advice for the case management of low-risk complaints as required.
Coordinate the management of guidance and policy and process mapping support, making sure that documents are delivered to the business on time and to specification.
Recommend changes to process or systems for continual improvement.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Qualification or experience in policy, human resources, workplace relations or other relevant discipline
Demonstrated experience in developing change plans focused on orientating work groups to new/updated priority documents including Policies and Procedures
Highly organised with strong ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
High level of effective stakeholder management and negotiating and influencing skills
Excellent written and oral skills, analytical ability and critical thinking with the ability to work autonomously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Software Packages
Experience interpreting and advising on industrial and employee relations policies and procedures with knowledge of employment and workplace relations legislation would be advantageous
