The Office of Learning, Teaching and Technology, within the Portfolio of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education), is dedicated to delivery high-quality, accessible and inclusive learning experiences that support student success and graduate outcomes.
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) plays a vital role in this mission by providing students with practical, real-world experiences that enhance employability and career readiness. Working in partnership with Schools and industry stakeholders, the WIL team coordinates and supports student placements across a range of disciplines, including education, nursing and veterinary science.
Operating in a dynamic and complex environment, the WIL team collaborates with diverse stakeholders to deliver consistent, compliant and high-quality placement services and student experiences.
Your New Role!
The WIL Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the WIL Team and delivers practical support for student WIL activities by fostering and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include –

Lead and coordinate the day-to day operations of WIL team, ensuring high-quality support for placements, effective workload management, and resolution of complex stakeholder enquiries

Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including industry, community and government organisations, to enhance and expand work-integrated learning opportunities for students

Drive continuous improvement and compliance by leading process enhancements, managing communications and reporting, supporting quality assurance activities, and ensuring alignment with University policies, procedures and legislative requirements

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $93k – $112k (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in work-integrated learning, placements, education, student services, or a related field

Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, develop and support high-performing teams while fostering a positive workplace culture

Demonstrated experience coordinating placement programs or WIL activities, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships across internal and external networks

High-level digital literacy and problem-solving capability, with experience using Microsoft Office and business systems, and a commitment to inclusive, student-focused service delivery
