About the role
We're looking for a reliable Forklift Operator who understands that doing the basics well, every day, is what keeps a site running.
This is a hands-on yard role. You'll be on the forklift most of the day, moving product, loading trucks, and keeping stock flowing safely and on time.
This is a full-time role working 8-hour shift (8:00am - 4:00pm), with some overtime and occasional Saturday work during peak periods such as stocktakes. Onsite parking is provided.
What you'll be doing:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of stock across the yard and warehouse, with a strong focus on loading customer deliveries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safely load trucks and unload containers, minimising stock damage
- Put away, pick, and assemble stock accurately using SAP
- Plan daily loads to meet Chain of Responsibility requirements and ensure all shipments are correctly processed and documented
- Operate forklifts and mobile equipment safely at all times
- Keep the yard and stock areas clean, organised, and compliant
- Support inventory activities including cycle counts and scrapping
- Work collaboratively with drivers and internal teams, contributing to safety and continuous improvement
About you:
You're someone who turns up, works safely, and pulls their weight. You don't cut corners, you look out for your teammates, and you take pride in keeping the yard organised.
- Current Forklift Licence - Essential
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a yard or warehouse environment
- Experience across different industries (manufacturing, logistics, building products)
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain - allowance provided)
- Hands-on, proactive, and willing to learn & adapt
- Reliable, flexible with start times, and able to work cooperatively and respectfully with others
- Honest, dependable, and strongly safety-focused in how you work
