We are seeking to employ a full-time intermediate accountant with a minimum 2 years’ experience in public accounting and CA or CPA qualifications (or be working towards completion of either of these qualifications) who has experience in a broad range of accounting structures including superannuation funds.

The successful applicants will be involved in compliance and advisory issues for a diverse range of clients. You will face fresh challenges daily on many aspects of business in today’s competitive environment. We undertake regular training and development to ensure we provide our clients with high-quality services and offer financial support to employees undertaking the CA or CPA programs.
Key responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Preparation of BAS, financial statements and tax returns for clients
- Assisting with business advisory services for clients including conducting research on a range of taxation issues
- Developing relationships with your clients and managing your client list
- Communicating with external parties when required (SMSF auditors, financial advisors etc)
- Mentoring and assisting junior staff members
- Actively prioritising tasks, managing workflow and meeting deadlines
- Handling routine client queries without assistance from managers
The successful candidate/s will possess the following key attributes:
- Have CA/CPA qualifications, or be nearly complete
- Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong interpersonal skills and client management experience
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- High level organisational skills and the ability to work towards deadlines
- Advanced experience using accounting packages (MYOB, Reckon, Xero etc)
- Experience with CLASS software (advantageous but not essential)
- Advanced computer skills, including use of Excel and other Microsoft products
- Understanding of taxation law and/or SMSF law
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Friendly with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Team player
