About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, skilled Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and delivering high‑quality artistry across residential and/or commercial projects. This role suits someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and can work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, filling holes, and repairing cracks
- Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Protect surrounding areas with drop sheets, masking, and appropriate preparation
- Mix and match paint colours to achieve required finishes
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with industry regulations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Complete jobs within agreed timeframes and to a high standard
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Painter (residential or commercial)
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools
- Ability to work safely and follow WHS guidelines
- Good communication and time‑management skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised
- Current driver’s licence and own transport
- Current Working with Children and Police Checks required
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
