Childcare Chef
Location: Riverton
Work Type: Permanent Part Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–1:30pm, 1hr unpaid lunch break)
Pay Rate: From $26.93 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Childcare Chef to join our team five days per week.
Working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 1:30pm, you'll be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for children, maintaining kitchen hygiene, planning seasonal menus, and ensuring all food safety requirements are met.
This role would suit someone who enjoys cooking, is well organised, and values making a positive contribution to children's health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children
- Maintain kitchen records and required documentation
- Clean and maintain the kitchen to food safety standards
- Plan and organise seasonal menus
- Follow food safety and infection control procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Eligibility and Requirements
Essential
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Clearance
Qualifications
Applicants should hold one or more of the following:
- SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- HLTSS00066 Infection Control Skill Set (Food Handling)
- Other relevant food handling qualifications will also be considered
