About the Role
We now have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Service Manager to lead the City's financial performance, strategic finance, and rates and revenue functions. The role ensures delivery of high-quality services aligned to strategic objectives. You will oversee multiple teams, providing clear direction and driving both strategic and transactional finance activities.
The role is responsible for ensuring legislative compliance across the finance function through effective financial risk management, strong audit controls, and the delivery of statutory financial obligations. This position also plays a key role in strengthening organisational accountability by partnering with business units and providing oversight of financial performance.
About you
We’re seeking a capable and experienced finance leader with a strong track record of leading multiple teams and delivering results in complex environments. You combine technical expertise with the ability to guide, influence, and support others to achieve outcomes.
You bring a positive, can-do mindset and a proactive approach to challenges, along with a genuine commitment to mentoring and developing your team. You are skilled at setting clear direction, building capability, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
Besides demonstrated experience, you’ll need to have:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent field
- CPA/CA qualification or other recognised professional certification
