Why you will love Working Here
You may not be the one knocking on the front door. But you make sure the right support arrives there.
At Suncare, we help older Australians live well in the place they call home. That purpose starts with our people.
As our Clinical Scheduling Specialist, you'll play a key role in keeping clinical services running smoothly across our community. Behind every appointment, every visit, and every familiar face is a roster that works. That's where you come in.
You'll help ensure the right clinician is in the right place at the right time, so the people we support can keep living the life they love at home.
If you're someone who thrives on solving complex scheduling challenges, balancing competing priorities, and making things run better every day, you'll fit right in.
We're serious about the work we do, but we're equally serious about supporting the people who do it. Here’s what you can expect:
- Clear career pathways and learning opportunities
- Not‑for‑profit salary packaging (up to $15,900 per year)
- Leave loading to make your time off work a little sweeter
- Flexible and hybrid working options
- Fitness Passport access to gyms and wellness facilities
- Employee Assistance Program for confidential support
- Referral rewards — because good people know good people
- Branded workwear
What you will be doing
In this exciting 6-month fixed term opportunity, you'll lead the implementation of centralised scheduling across our Clinical Services team while coordinating day-to-day rostering activities for a multidisciplinary workforce. By balancing customer needs, clinician availability, travel requirements and workforce capacity, you'll help keep services safe, reliable and sustainable.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead the implementation and ongoing success of centralised clinical scheduling
- Deliver end-to-end rostering for multidisciplinary clinical teams across multiple regions
- Build strong working relationships with Care Partners and referral sources to ensure services are scheduled effectively
- Optimise clinician travel, routing and workforce utilisation to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary travel
- Use systems such as AlayaCare and workforce analytics tools to make informed scheduling decisions
- Proactively plan for leave, training, public holidays and other activities that impact workforce availability
- Coordinate roster changes, urgent service requirements, cancellations and unplanned absences
- Investigate and resolve scheduling issues, escalations and roster-related discrepancies
- Support continuous improvement and help embed best-practice scheduling processes across the business
You will Thrive in this role if you
You're the kind of person who enjoys bringing order to complexity. You can see the bigger picture while still paying attention to the details that matter.
You'll bring:
- At least 5 years' experience in scheduling or rostering within a medium to large service delivery environment
- Experience in clinical services, aged care, community services or a similar sector
- Experience supporting operational change and implementing new ways of working
- Strong knowledge of scheduling and rostering platforms, with AlayaCare highly regarded
- Experience using workforce analytics and reporting tools
- Travel planning and route optimisation experience
- Workforce planning knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capability
- Experience interpreting Modern Awards, with HPSS Award experience desirable
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to stay calm, adaptable and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Microsoft Office and systems capability
- A willingness to complete the required criminal history checks
Most importantly, you'll understand that while schedules are built on systems and data, the decisions behind them impact real people every day.
