Business & Operations Manager
Build Australia's Next Big-Box Consumer Electronics Retailer
Location: Castle Hill, NSW
Employment Type: Full Time
Start Date: 1 September 2026
About Us
Mobile Experts Group is one of Australia's leading independent technology retailers, operating more than 70 retail locations nationwide across retail, repairs and technology services.
We're now embarking on our most ambitious project yet.
We're developing a confidential new big-box consumer electronics retail concept (600–800sqm) with ambitious national expansion plans. Backed by the experience, infrastructure and financial strength of Mobile Experts Group, this is a rare opportunity to help build a business from the ground up—shaping its people, systems, operations and culture before the doors even open.
We're looking for an exceptional leader who wants to be part of this journey from day one.
About the Opportunity
This is not a traditional operations role.
This is a rare opportunity to become one of the founding leaders of a confidential new big-box consumer electronics retail business and work directly alongside the CEO to take it from concept to reality.
Commencing on 1 September 2026, you'll play a pivotal role in building the business from the ground up, leading every stage of operational readiness ahead of the launch of our flagship 600–800sqm big-box retail store, scheduled to open in March/April 2027.
Over the next 6–8 months, you'll help establish the operational, commercial and organisational foundations that will underpin the business for years to come. From developing scalable systems, processes and teams to contributing to commercial planning, financial performance, supplier partnerships and project delivery, you'll be instrumental in creating a business designed for long-term national expansion.
You'll work closely with the CEO and key stakeholders, taking ownership of critical workstreams while helping shape the culture, leadership standards and operating model of the business from day one.
If you're energised by the challenge of building something from the ground up—rather than simply managing an existing operation—and want the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy within one of Australia's fastest-growing retail groups, we'd love to hear from you.
