RACV Cape Schanck Resort is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team on a casual basis.
Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality dining experiences across our food outlets, events and conferencing operations, while enjoying one of Victoria's most spectacular coastal locations.
A day in the life
Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, you'll support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and help deliver exceptional food and service to our members and guests.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes across a variety of service styles
- Take ownership of your designated kitchen section during service
- Complete mise en place and ensure service readiness
- Support stock control, stock rotation and minimise food wastage
- Assist with the training and development of apprentices, cooks and junior chefs
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen brigade and Food & Beverage team
- Contribute to a positive team culture and continuous improvement within the kitchen
About you
You'll be a qualified chef who takes pride in producing quality food and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
You'll bring:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or completed chef apprenticeship
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, hotel, resort or hospitality venue
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and stock control practices
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver consistently high standards
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and team-first approach
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
