We are currently seeking an experienced Fitter Machinist to join our manufacturing team based at Seven Hills, Western Sydney. Candidates must have previous experience working in an engineering workshop as Fitter Machinist and at least 10 years experience at using manual/centre Lathe, Milling, Horizontal Boring machine. It will be additional benefit if also being good as a Fitter.
Responsibilities include:
- Manufacture of components using information taken from engineering drawings and samples
- Operation of manual/Centre Lathes, Milling machines, Radial Drills, Horizontal Boring machines.
To be considered for this position you will:
- Be a qualified and experienced tradesperson Fitter / Machinist
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Have good verbal communication skills
- Have an excellent mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
Preferred skills:
- Precision Machining
- Assembly and fitting
In conjunction with the above, the successful applicant must have a high level of initiative and a 'can do' attitude. Candidates must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as required.
