About the role
As a Maintenance Officer at Autumn Aged Care, part of Infinite Care, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running and well-being of our Skye Lodge in Frankston, Victoria. This full-time position is responsible for providing a range of maintenance and handyperson services to maintain our properties and keep our residents safe and comfortable.
What you'll be doing
- Perform general indoor and outdoor maintenance tasks such as fixing leaks, repairing furniture, testing and tagging of electrical equipment (training provided), lighting plumbing duties etc,
- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify and address any maintenance issues
- Liaise with external contractors and manage their work to ensure timely and high-quality completion of major repairs
- Assist with the set-up and pack-down of events and activities for our residents
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with relevant safety and quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and purchases
What we're looking for
- Relevant trade qualifications or significant experience in a maintenance or handyperson role
- Minimum 1 year of general maintenance experience required
- Strong practical skills and the ability to problem-solve and find creative solutions to maintenance challenges
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and address potential issues before they become problems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with residents, staff, and external contractors
- A proactive and customer-service oriented approach to your work
- A valid driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
- Police check will be required to work in aged care
