What you’ll be doing:
The role of the Registered Nurse within the Mental Health units include, providing high quality evidence based physical and mental health care to consumers, their families and carers within a recovery and trauma informed care framework.
Providing safe compassionate person-centered care through the assessment, risk assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary team to achieve safe quality care outcomes that meet the goals of the individual within the least restrictive environment. This includes information and education regarding their legal rights and responsibilities under the Mental Health Act.
Effectively planning safe transfer of care plans in collaboration with the consumer their family or carers, the multidisciplinary team, community mental health team (CMHT), non-government providers and other agencies.

Criteria:
Be a confident / consciousness clinician with an engaging personality aligning with NSW Health Core values – Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment
Hold relevant Australian standard qualification / AHPRA
