Permanent part-time | $50–$60/hour | Community, schools, and clinical support
Platinum Healthcare is seeking a number of Nurses to join our team. We are looking for both ongoing team members and a pool of casual staff available to assist with shift coverage as needed.
Community nursing where your judgement is trusted and your hours fit your life.
If you've spent the last few years stretched thin, having your clinical expertise overridden, or feeling like just another roster number, this is a different kind of place.
Platinum Healthcare has been supporting Perth communities since 2006. We're small enough to know every team member by name and experienced enough to back you properly. Most of our nursing work is community and in-home, with some school nursing and clinical support/training tasks also done by our RN’s.
The Reality Check
We can't match the salary packaging of the big NFPs, and we're upfront about that.
What we offer instead: time with your clients, leadership you can actually reach, a roster built around your life, and the kind of follow-through that means your concerns get acted on. If you choose a job purely on top-of-market pay or salary packaging, we're probably not for you. If you choose on whether you'll feel respected, doing work that really makes a difference for people … keep reading.
The work
Community & In-Home Nursing (Aged Care & NDIS). Where most of our nursing work sits.
You'll visit clients across Perth metro in their homes. Assessments, care planning, medication management, wound care, continence support, chronic disease management. Supporting Aged and Disability clients. Company vehicle on shift. You'll have continuity with your clients and the time to actually know them, not 12-minute slots and a backlog.
School Nursing (Education Support Centres). Term-time only.
Platinum Healthcare supports a number of students with complex health needs in school settings with PEG feeding, seizure management, diabetes support, catheter care, oxygen therapy, and suctioning.
Clinical Support & Training.
As a nurse, you’ll also mentor and train support workers and school staff, run competency assessments, and contribute to clinical governance.
Casual Pool
You may be a practising registered nurse and looking for extra hours. Nurses in our casual pool should be experienced and flexible and able to work in the different settings.
What you'll need
· Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse
· Sound clinical judgement and clear documentation
· Current driver's licence
· NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
· Genuine alignment with our HEART values: Holistic, Empathy, Accountability, Respect, Teamwork
What we offer
· $50–$60/hour, depending on experience
· Full-time or part-time opportunity with a roster built around your life
· Company vehicle for community work
· A small team where you're known, with a dedicated coordinator you can actually reach
· Ongoing training and clinical mentoring
· Visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate
How to apply
You’ll need to complete the application form on our website and include your CV and a short cover letter.
In your cover letter, tell us:
1. What type of nursing work brings out your best (patient group, setting, pace), and why?
2. Tell us about a recent situation where you identified a clinical risk, acted on it, and followed through to a safe outcome.
3. This role blends community visits with some school nursing and clinical mentoring. What attracts you to that mix, and to Platinum specifically?
We read every cover letter. We're looking for clarity and authenticity, not perfect prose. Applications without cover letters answering these questions won't be reviewed.
