Job Description
As an integral member of the perioperative team, a Theatre Technician is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and positioning complex surgical equipment and technology before and during procedures. Your role ensures the seamless flow of the operating list by safely transporting patients, managing sterile stock, and assisting clinical staff with correct patient positioning. You will strictly adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines to maintain a pristine, compliant surgical environment. Through rapid technical troubleshooting and close collaboration with nurses and surgeons, you play a vital role in ensuring optimal patient safety and theatre efficiency.
As a Theatre Technician, at Cairns Private Hospital, you will work as an integral member of our team and ensure safe surgical outcomes are achieved, in line with the core values and strategic direction of the department, Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
The role is Monday to Friday with the ability to participate in an on-call roster on weekdays and weekends as rostered.
