About the role
Kerfab Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder / Fabricator to join our team in Kerang, Victoria. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in the manufacturing and fabrication processes that support our growing business. As a Welder / Fabricator, you will use your expertise to deliver high-quality welding and fabrication work to the required specifications and standards.
What you'll be doing
- Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks to a high standard using a variety of welding techniques and equipment
- Work primarily with steel materials throughout fabrication processes
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
- Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to produce components and assemblies
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure the timely completion of projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety policies
- Continuously seek to improve processes and identify opportunities for innovation
What we're looking for
- Relevant trade qualifications in welding and/or fabrication
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Welder / Fabricator, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Proficient in TIG, MIG, and stick welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
- Valid work visa or Australian work rights required for this position
