About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Operations Manager to plan, organise and control the day-to-day operations of our portfolio of short-term accommodation properties. The successful applicant will oversee guest services, property readiness, contractor performance, occupancy coordination, operational efficiency and compliance with company policies and workplace health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and manage the daily operations of multiple short-term accommodation properties.
- Coordinate accommodation bookings, reservations and property availability across multiple booking platforms.
- Monitor occupancy levels and implement strategies to maximise property utilisation.
- Manage guest communications before, during and after each stay.
- Coordinate guest arrivals, departures, early check-ins and late check-outs.
- Conduct and oversee property inspections to ensure accommodation readiness and presentation standards.
- Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs with external contractors.
- Supervise cleaning contractors and other external service providers.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate procurement of linen, guest amenities and operational supplies.
- Maintain operational procedures, guest information and property records.
- Liaise with property owners, contractors, suppliers and guests.
- Review guest feedback and implement operational improvements.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and company policies.
- Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to management regarding business performance and operational improvements.
- Assist with occupancy planning and business development initiatives.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- At least one year of experience in accommodation operations, hospitality or short-term rental management.
- Diploma in Leadership & Management.
- Three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
- Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
- Experience using Airbnb, Booking.com, channel managers and other accommodation management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple properties and competing operational priorities.
- Experience supervising contractors and coordinating external service providers.
- Excellent customer service, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems.
- Ability to work independently and make operational decisions with minimal supervision.
