About the Role
As a member of our Distribution Design team, you will be responsible for delivering detailed design and documentation for a range of projects within the Energy sector.
As an Electrical Designer / REVIT Modeller, you will be responsible for the design and documentation of plans for projects including:

Distribution substations (Indoor and kiosk substations – typically 22 or 11kV to LV)

Design drafting, and 3D modelling for new substation designs and retro fits.
You will work alongside highly experienced distribution and substation engineering specialists, gaining exposure to some of Victoria's most complex customer substation and utility infrastructure projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop advanced REVIT modelling and utility design skills under the mentorship of recognised industry experts.
Role responsibilities:

Develop detailed design, drafting and 3D models for indoor and kiosk distribution substations using Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD
-
Produce high-quality design documentation, layouts, elevations, sections and construction drawings in accordance with project, client and utility requirements.

Assist in the design and documentation of 11kV and 22kV customer and distribution substation projects, including equipment layouts, cable routes, conduit systems, access requirements and associated infrastructure.

Coordinate designs with electrical engineers, architects, structural engineers, civil designers and other project stakeholders to ensure efficient, integrated project outcomes.

Engage with clients, developers, builders, consultants and electricity distribution authorities throughout the design and delivery process.

Support the preparation of utility approval packages and ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, Victorian Service and Installation Rules and electricity distribution authority standards.

Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, material schedules and construction documentation.

Participate in site inspections, field investigations, design verification activities and stakeholder meetings as required.

Contribute to Safety in Design workshops and prepare supporting documentation to promote safe construction, operation and maintenance outcomes.

Maintain REVIT models, drawing registers and project documentation in accordance with company quality management procedures

Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases, including the management of design queries and drawing revisions

Continuously develop technical capability through mentorship, training and collaboration with senior engineering staff and subject matter experts.
What do we need from you
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in electrical drafting, design or REVIT modelling within utility, infrastructure or building services projects.

Knowledge of Victorian electricity utility standards (CitiPower, Powercor, AusNet, Jemena or United Energy) highly regarded.

Experience or knowledge of substation layouts, switch-room design, earthing systems and cable containment systems.

Understanding of building services coordination and multidisciplinary design environments highly regarded.

Proficiency in Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
