In this role, you'll:
Reporting to the Director of PMO (Stations), you will be responsible for leading the implementation and application of relevant Sydney Metro standards and procedures to plan, monitor, and control cost, schedule, risk, and change across Two ISD Stations.
In this role, you will drive the delivery of integrated, robust, accurate, and timely reporting, enabling informed decision-making and supporting the achievement of project objectives. You will provide expert advice, insights, and capability to the project management team while developing and implementing consistent project control strategies, processes, and standards.
You will also contribute to the development and implementation of project-wide tools, processes, and procedures that enable monitoring and control of the integrated program and interface risks, ensuring interdependencies between packages are managed efficiently and that information is provided to enhance performance, efficiency and value across the Sydney Metro West project.
Key accountabilities include:
Lead and manage a project controls team to develop and implement consistent project controls processes across cost, schedule, risk, and change, aligned with defined scope and deliverable.
Contribute to the integrated project schedule, project-level cost management, and interface risk management activities, while monitoring performance, trends, and key issues to optimise overall project outcomes.
Analyse and continuously improve systems, processes, frameworks, and standards implemented in the package, ensuring alignment with industry best practice and NSW Government requirements.
Drive strong stakeholder collaboration (internal and external) to support project reporting and provide data-driven insights on project performance.
Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of an effective document control system, ensuring compliance and consistency across the project team.

About you
You are a highly experienced project controls leader who operates with autonomy within an agreed work plan, exercising sound judgment in the application of policies and taking accountability for the quality, accuracy, and integrity of outcomes provided.
You are confident in making independent decisions, resolving day-to-day issues, and directly influencing team priorities and outcomes, while ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. You also effectively engage in collaborative decision-making with your reporting line manager or senior leaders on complex matters that significantly impact timeframes, cost, quality, and scope of work.
You bring:
Proven experience in developing and implementing robust project controls frameworks and processes on large and complex transport infrastructure projects in the delivery phase
Strong capability across cost, schedule, risk, change management, and document control systems and reporting
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within a matrix environment
The ability to influence decision-making and collaborate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, internal and external
