Since 1951, Darra Joinery has been manufacturing high-quality custom timber windows, doors and bespoke cabinetry for residential and commercial projects throughout South-East Queensland.
We are a family-owned and operated business with a reputation for quality craftsmanship, attention to detail and delivering exceptional products to our clients.
Operating from our factory at Sumner, we manufacture everything in-house with our own timber yard, paint shop, joinery and cabinetry departments. Our team includes qualified joiners, cabinet makers, wood machinists and apprentices who take pride in producing custom-made timber products to the highest standard.

What you'll be doing
- Manufacturing and assembling custom timber windows and doors.
- Manufacturing custom cabinetry and bespoke joinery.
- Reading and interpreting workshop drawings and specifications.
- Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Fitting hardware and preparing products for finishing.
- Maintaining exceptional quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Working collaboratively within a skilled production team.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment.

What we're looking for
- Completed Certificate III in Cabinet Making, Certificate III in Joinery, or an Australian-recognised equivalent trade qualification.
- This position is for a qualified Cabinet Maker / Joiner. Apprentice applications will not be considered.
- Experience manufacturing custom timber windows, doors, cabinetry or other bespoke joinery.
- Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
